ST. GEORGE, UTAH – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the Division-II All West Region Teams and Dixie State senior pitcher Tyson Bailey (Mesa. AZ/Westwood HS) has been named to the all-region’s Second Team.

Bailey compiled a 6-1 season record with a 2.91 earned run average in 13 appearances in 2009. The staff ace notched two complete games including a shutout of conference foe Grand Canyon University on March 6. He baffled batters all season striking out a team-high 59 while opponents hit just .226 against him.

Previously, Bailey was named Pacific West Conference Pitcher of the Year and earned a spot on the conference’s First Team.
