INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Dixie State College remained ranked fifth in the latest NCAA Division-II West Region basketball poll released Wednesday.

The Red Storm were 1-1 in games last week – a Monday win at home over Notre Dame de Namur and their first conference loss at Grand Canyon on Saturday night.

Two GNAC schools still top the rankings - #1 Seattle Pacific, #2 Western Washington – while a pair from the CCAA round out the top four - #3 Cal State San Bernardino and #4 Humboldt State. HSU moved up two spots from #6 in last week’s poll.

Cal Poly Pomona was the big mover upwards from #10 last week to #6 this week. The Broncos beat CSU East Bay and San Bernardino last week. Pac West foe BYU-Hawaii moved up to #7. Alaska Anchorage took a tumble falling from third to eighth.

GNAC teams Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene round out the top ten. Montana State Billings fell out of the region ranks.
