Treasure Valley 4 Utah Valley 3

Treasure Valley's Bill Baldry went the distance to beat UVSC. The Wolverines outhit the Oregon team 9-8, but could not take advantage of several scoring opportunities. They stranded nine runners. Most of the scoring came early. After TVCC scored in the top of the first, Dave Preston singled home a run for UVSC in the bottom of the frame to make it 1-1. The Chukars went up 3-1 on a two-run homer by Josh Gold in the third. But UVSC tied it again in the bottom half on an RBI double by Jed Stringham and a sacrifice fly by Aaron Lancaster.

TVCC got the eventual winning run in the fifth, after a UVSC error and an RBI single by Marshall Bratton. Neither team was able to score after that. James Dayley pitched well for UVSC, allowing just two earned runs, but was tagged with the loss. Matt Ward threw four innings of scoreless relief.
