Jesse Haycock's two-out homer in the bottom of the eighth gave 
Salt Lake a 5-4 victory and propelled the Bruins into the 
championship game. UVSC held a 4-3 lead going into the bottom
of the final inning of regulation. But Precious Gallo's two out RBI
single tied it at 4-4 and sent the game to the extra frame, where
Haycock finished it in dramatic fashion. SLCC's Stacie Stratford
hit a pair of homers in her first two at bats to give the Bruins an
early 3-1 lead. In the fifth, Summer Griffin hit a solo homer for UVSC
to make it 3-2. UVSC grabbed the lead when a two-out error allowed
April Mecham and Kari Satterfield to scamper home with the tying 
and go-ahead runs.
