SALT LAKE CITY - In the 2-1 win, UVSC's Lynette Hicks outdueled SLCC pitcher Cami Carter to get the win. Both pitchers allowed only five hits by the opposition. The Wolverines used a Salt Lake error and a walk to load the bases in the third inning of a scoreless tie. April Mecham then drew a walk to force in a run. Kari Satterfield grounded out to second to get another run home. Hicks made the 2-0 lead stand up. Stacie Stratford belted a solo homer for Salt Lake in the sixth, but that would be all the Bruins would get.
